Monday: Urban stargazing, At-Bristol
The lights in Millennium Square will be dimmed and telescopes, binoculars and a drink will be provided on the At-Bristol balcony to enjoy the sky at night.

Tuesday to Saturday: Disco Pigs, Alma Tavern Theatre
The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Directors Cuts Season opener, Disco Pigs, directed by Anna Simpson, is described as a “chaotic, funny and twisted story of young love”.

Wednesday until May 27: Antlers new show, Still Chaos
After a first foray to London, the Antlers nomadic art gallery returns to Bristol with new exhibition Still Chaos in new hirable project space Philadelphia Street in Cabot Circus.

Thursday to Monday: German Beer Festival, Lloyds Amphitheatre
Bristol’s version of Oktoberfest taking place over the May Bank Holiday weekend, featuring beer, food and ompha music from the Edelweiss ompha band.

Friday: Harbourside Arts Night
Arnolfini, Spike Island, Picture This, Works|Projects and Bristol Diving School all open new exhibitions. Travel between the five on Bristol Ferry Boat Company boats.

Saturday: Newton Faulkner, Bristol Academy
Playing as part of Bristol Folk Festival taking place all weekend at the Colston Hall, the artist with the best ginger dreadlocks since Hucknell returns with his acoustic guitar.

Sunday: Stewart Lee, Bristol Hippodrome
According to the Sun, “about as funny as bubonic plague”, Stewart Lee is stand-up’s former youthful iconoclast who “now gawps blankly at News 24 as Britain burns”.
