Ping! Bristol week three: eight opponents

21 07 2012

The third week of my Ping! Bristol challenge, to play on as many different tables as possible on people relevant to that table, has seen me face the Green Party mayoral candidate with a demon backhand on College Green, the owner of Mrs Brown’s Cafe in Victoria Park and Destination Bristol’s city centre retail manager on the table in the podium on Broadmead.

I also travelled to the most eastern table in Hillfields Park on Sunday afternoon, but my gamble of not arranging a game there did not pay off as after waiting 30 minutes I was unable to find anyone to play against.

So after playing nine opponents in week one and seven in week two, my tally of eight this week means that I have played at 24 of the 36 locations across Bristol.

A concerted effort next week and I might complete the set. There is also the small matter of the King Ping tournament at St Paul’s Community Sports Academy on Friday.
