Autumnwatch 2012 tonight on BBC Two

30 10 2012

Autumnwatch returns to BBC Two tonight at 8pm for a fourth season. For its first two years, the perennially popular nature show was presented from BBC Bristol’s Whiteladies Road headquarters. Despite the production still being based here in Bristol, for the past two years the show has been broadcast from far-flung locations, with this year’s coming from the Aigas Field Centre in the Scottish Highlands.

Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Martin Hughes-Games (below) are the presenters, with camera teams throughout the rest of the UK collecting wildlife stories.

Some of this year’s highlights promise to be an in-depth red deer diary and the arrival of tens of thousands of migratory birds as they arrive from the northern Arctic.

If the four days of Autumnwatch are not enough, a brand new live series, Winterwatch, will arrive for four days in January.
