The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition returns to Bristol Museum & Art Gallery today for its annual visit. As usual, the world-renowned free touring exhibition from the Natural History Museum features dozens of images of the natural world at its most stunning.

Giant otter (Pteronura brasiliensis). Taken by Charlie Hamilton-James at Cocha Salvador, Manu National Park, Peru, who was lying down on a boat to achieve a low angle of this four-month-old cub.

Three male Celebes Crested Macaques ( Macaca nigra ) huddle together for a close-up prior to an outbreak of an argument. Taken by Jami Tarris at Sulawesi, Indonesia.
