New shipping container cafe opens soon

26 02 2013

Shipping containers are becoming the surprise new trend in Bristol. First there was Hall & Woodhouse opening a bar and restaurant made out of 28 recycled containers in Portishead. Then Bear Pit Social opened a cafe housed in just one container.

Next month will see the UK’s first bubble tea container cafe when Cupp Tea Bar replaces their van with a more permanent structure in Quakers Friars:

One of Saddam Hussein’s favourite forms of torture and murder was to lock people in shipping containers and leave them to die – a pattern repeated elsewhere in the region. I do hope that they have excellent air conditioning and ventilation for those boxes will get mighty hot in the summer.
