Preview: In:Motion 2012

2 08 2012

Fatboy Slim and Public Enemy are the pick of the artists who will be headlining the new season of In:Motion from September to December. Other acts just announced for the cavernous Bristol venue at the Motion skate park in St Philip’s include Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Magnetic Man and Annie Mac.

The set from Fatboy Slim on December 8 will be the DJ also known as Norman Cook’s first appearance in Bristol for more than a decade.

Hip hop legends Public Enemy, playing on October 28, will be presenting a live show with full band as part of a international tour celebrating their 25th anniversary.

In:Motion comes from the team behind Glastonbury’s Dance Village Wow! Stage, last year’s See No Evil and their debut festival in Bristol earlier this summer, Love Saves The Day in Castle Park.

In:Motion’s Paul Kennedy said: “The 2012 lineup is the biggest and most diverse yet, exploring all corners of dance music taking place at this iconic Bristol institution.

“With its network of warehouses and impeccable sound systems, Motion is the perfect setting to enjoy an unparalleled clubbing experience and has become an international destination for dance music lovers.”
